I'm a hopeless romantic who cries at a good commercial. Photographing people in love has always given me all the feels, and when I had my daughter, documenting the messy, loving moments became the thing I care about most. Black Cat Photo Studio exists to capture your greatest loves at their most authentic: kayaking out on White Rock, in the hospital with a fresh baby, or in your pajamas at home with your person.

I'm a second-generation photographer. I was shooting film while I was still small enough to play under the tables in the darkroom, studied photography and design in college, and spent years on commercial sets for Poo~Pourri, Duluth Trading Co, and Anthropologie before I turned the camera back toward families. By day I'm a creative lead and UX designer, and I run Studio 13 Creative, a web and brand design studio, which is why brand shoots with me start with where the photos will live, not with the camera. I keep my calendar small on purpose: a limited number of families and brands each season, every gallery finished by hand, and fine-art prints and heirloom albums offered after every session.
